The architect or engineer for the general one line layout of elements on his or her project may use the Trace Line method in the design stage. The Construction method is the layout required by Mechanical Engineers and Mechanical, Sheet Metal, and HVAC Contractors for the layout and coordination of their elements to be installed in the building project. Complex duct connections can be created automatically. Transitions, offsets, elbows and other complicated fittings can be created with a click of your mouse. Construction standards can be set up according to specific SMACNA or self generated specifications. In a short period of time, a realistic 3D drawing is created from a Trace Line drawing. Upon verification of the design as clear of structural elements and other elements installed by other trades, a file for the job is created. Information can be sent to your plasma table or coil line for production, or can be printed out for manual shop fabrication. Integrated calculation The user can assign air volume and pressure losses at the air distribution devices. A maximum velocity must be assigned to the system. The system pressure loss can now be calculated.
