Geothermal Slinky Loop Construction

Slinky loops are used in horizontal closed loop system.  The name "slinky loops" comes from the shape that is created when the tubing is tied into concentric coil.  The purpose of this procedure is to make the long lengths of pipe more manageable during installation and to be able to construct a consistent heat exchanger in a given amount of space.  Not all horizontal closed loop systems are constructed in the slinky method, some just lay out the pipe in a down and back layout.
